Sixth graders at APA recently engaged in a comprehensive study of ancient Greece and Rome, culminating in an educational event modeled after the Olympic Games. Students were divided into teams representing Sparta and Athens, engaging in an array of activities such as the long jump, chariot racing, a foam noodle sword fight, a cup stacking relay, and a sprint to resolve a tie. This hands-on experience provided a dynamic way to explore historical cultures.
